Piiholo Ranch Zipline Posted June 10, 2013

Just north of Makawao and a 35-minute drive up the mountain from the Cottages is one of the most interesting adventures in upcountry — the Piiholo Ranch Zipline. The ranch is home to the longest side-by-side zipline in Hawaii!

Need something fun to do with the family on your next visit to Maui? One ride you will never forget is the Zipline at Piiholo Ranch. Zip side-by-side on their dual-line ziplines, soaring high over the landscape, or try their canopy ziplines, where you will zip in the forest canopy from tree to tree, never touching the ground.

Piiholo Ranch began as a dream of Peter Baldwin, a 5th generation descendant of Reverend Dwight Baldwin, who came to Maui in the 1830s as a missionary. Pete’s great love of the outdoors led him to found Piiholo Ranch with the help of his three sons Jeff, Duke and Chris. Together, they built a premier cattle business and horseback riding venture.

Since its opening in December 2008, Piiholo Ranch Zipline has quickly become one of the premier zipline adventures in the United States. Designed to showcase its beautiful setting, the course crosses deep gulches and tall trees, and offers stunning vistas from mountain to sea. It also includes the longest side-by-side zipline in the state of Hawaii, over a half-mile long. For more information call: 1-800-374-7050
